Subspecialty in Ear, Nose & Throat Surgery
Otolaryngologists, or Ear, Nose & Throat physicians, are surgeons of the head and neck region. This field of medicine intersects with multiple specialties, including allergy, sleep medicine, plastic surgery, neurosurgery, and oncology. Otologists or Neurotologists are ENT surgeons who have done additional fellowship training related to ear disease and hearing, and are a cross between neurologists, family medicine, and neurosurgeons. As ear specialists, they deal with hearing and balance and work closely with audiology, neurology, and physical therapy. ENTs see many chronic ear and throat infections and can be thought of as pediatricians who perform surgery. Dr. Yorgason is trained in all of these specialties, making him well-rounded, with a broad base of training and expertise, and therefore one of the BEST ENTs in Utah.
